Arabic Grammar  

Nouns: All types of words pronouns, proper nouns, common nouns, and adjective are simply regarded as NOUNS by the Arab Grammarians.
All name a person (proper noun), referred to a person, are simply a noun 
In Arabic the nouns may be define as:  A word that refer to a person, an animal, a plant or any inanimate thing and includes pronouns, the adjective and adverbs.

Compare definition of English nouns

Putting (al) prefixes to a common noun qualifies to become a nominal subject-  a common noun by itself cannot be a subject of a nominal sentence.

 

The Arabic Adverb often follows the modified word.

Arabic adjective follws the modified noun and it never precees it.

Adverbial words are also regarded as nouns in Arabic
