THE RULES OF SAKIN NUN ( TANWIN  )

Rule #1 
Idgham with Ghunnah     also called partial Idgham  (partial assimilation)

The letters of Idgham with Ghunnah  are four in number :letter  . - If a  Sakin Nun  (or Tanwin )  appears at the end of a word and any of the four letters  appear in the next word-  the letter  Sakin Nun  (or Tanwin )   is partial (not full) assimilated with nasal sound (Ghunnah)  into any four letters.     The symbol of idgham is tashdid that appears on the letter of idgham. 

Note: If a Sakin Nun and a letter of idgham occur together in the same word, no Idgham will occur   There are few other exceptions to the rule of Idgham with Ghunnah which are beyond the scope of this course.

Rule #2
 Idgham without Ghunnah  also called complete Idgham  (complete assimilation) .

The letters of Idgham without Ghunnah (nasal) are two in number :letter   .   - If a  Sakin Nun  (or Tanwin )  appears at the end of a word and any two letters of idgham appears in the next word-  then the letter  Sakin Nun  (or Tanwin )   is fully assimilated.  (without nasal sound) meaning that letter Nun will be completely disappear.   The symbol of idgham is tashdid that appears on the letter of idgham.
